Ride Considerations and Guidelines

  • The length of the pleasure ride is planned at 2-hours; however, length is an approximation.

  • Before you begin trotting or cantering make certain it does not pose a risk to you or other riders.
  • The ride will be mostly walking.
  • It is recommended that all riders wear an approved helmet during the ride. Riders under 18 yr. are required to wear a helmet. Riders may borrow helmets from CATRA.
  • It is expected that all riders will fully respect the trail and property minimizing any damage – no smoking or littering on the trail.
  • It is expected that all riders will maintain control of their horse while providing sound and humane treatment during both their time at CATRA and on the trail.
  • Riders will ride only on the designated trail and not trespass.
  • All tack should be appropriately marked with rider identification.
  • Please do not bring dogs or other animals on the trail ride or to CATRA-thon.

Silent Auction

WHAT’S A SILENT AUCTION?

A silent auction differs from a “live” auction because there’s no auctioneer and bids are made silently. The items to be auctioned are placed on tables in the indoor ring for viewing. Each item includes a bidding sheet which has a brief description of the item, a starting bid, a minimum bid increase, and blank lines used to offer bids. If you’ve found an item you want, write down your name, and your bid.

WATCH THOSE BIDS

Throughout the afternoon, keep an eye on those bid sheets to be sure to stay in the running!

GREAT GIFT IDEAS

The silent auction is a signature event at CATRA-Thon and a great way to get a jump on Holiday shopping! Tables upon tables are arranged with gift baskets, games, household items, and many one-of-a-kind treasures. CATRA’s silent auction runs on donations.

Chicken BBQ and Food Court

CATRA-Thon ‘Food Court’ serves up delicious hot dogs, hamburgers, soups, cupcakes, brownies. The list goes on and on. There’s always plenty to eat at CATRA-Thon.

Best Chicken BBQ in Town – SOLD OUT

In order to allow for preparation, the chicken BBQ must be pre-ordered and can be picked up during CATRA-Thon. Don’t miss out on this event specialty! Chicken Dinners are $12.00. Pre-order your chicken dinners now.
